Newsletter # 4 July 2015
July has arrived and after a slow start to the season with dry
conditions prevailing, it looks like the Snow Gods are about to smile upon
Eltham.
This weekend we see 35-60cm of snow forecast to fall between
Thursday 9th and Wednesday 15th July.
This is ideal as we get closer to our Eltham/OLOS race day on the 25th.
A very big thank you to all those that have agreed to compete for Eltham and
also to those who have agreed to volunteer in delivering the dinner that night.
I will forward rosters out to all those participating sometime later this week.
Danny has settled back into Lodge Management with some small
adjustments to the cleaning and dishwashing services and times. Please note
that members will be responsible for their own dishes after 8.15am as Danny
works as a full time ski instructor.
We have also added cleaning resources to the
Friday and Sunday nights after a number of comments from members who felt that
the lodge needed to be in better shape for the start of each weekend and each
week. Please also contribute to the cleanliness of the lodge and ensure that
you try to leave it in the same condition that you found it.
Jim Tsaoussi has done an amazing job in getting the lodge into great
working order and I am sure that you will see a marked improvement in how
everything is working throughout the building. Thanks Jim!
So please get up to the lodge in the coming weeks and enjoy what is
now shaping up as a late but strong season. Bookings have been solid so don’t miss
out on a ski this year and book ahead.
See you at Eltham!
The Eltham Scribe.
