Kings Birthday weekend

Launch of our new kitchen

The new kitchen has been well and truly christened with a 19th Birthday celebration for Liam Boardman and a giant cook up / family meal shared with everyone who was up for the King’s birthday.

All Members loved the extra large butcher bench, the three ovens, two toasters, two microwaves and two new fridges in the kitchen on top of the new large drinks fridge in the lounge,

It’s Snowing

Mother Nature was kind enough to deliver us just over 30cm of snow over the weekend. Our cars were well and truly buried but not a single complaint from anyone as we all had to dig our cars out.

Our new Lodge Manager

I would like to welcome Warren Smith who will be our lodge manager this winter. We also hope to see is loverly partner Sally around on the weekends. Most people have probably sung along with Warren while waiting for the ABOM express or with the kids at The Animals of the Magical Mountain” show at the Alpine Retreat.

Huge shout out to Mary Dietrich (aka Percy Platypus) and Loki Reedky (aka Radical Rat). Who also joined Warren in his shows on the weekend.

17 The Avenue Ski Race

The annual ski Race between: Yurredla, Star Alpine, Polsky and Eltham is set for the 12th of July and we are on a mission to win back some of the trophies. Not really… well…May be….

No.  This race is just a bit of fun and it doesn’t matter if you want to snow plough your way down or put on your race suit and ski like an Olympian. The course is not on difficult terrain, so it suits all levels of ability. There are categories for all ages, boarders and skis. Everyone is welcome: Members, Families, Friends, Lodge Managers (subtle hint Warren), kids. The club will pay for everyone’s entrance fee.

If you are interested in joining in the fun please send your name through to Catie Moore at catie.rm.moore@gmail.com before 5th July.
